Nutritional Information
The 180° Difference
We started this 501(c)3 non-profit farm for three main reasons:
To be an educational source for growing healthy foods, provide assistance to the local food banks and eventually be sustainable. We believe the health benefits achieved by growing naturally or organic are far superior in nutrition and taste. Here are some charts from "The Journal Of Alternative and Complementary Medicine" Volume 7, Number 2, 2001 (Mary Ann Liebert, Inc.)
These charts show some of the nutritional benefits obtained from eating organically grown foods vs conventionally grown foods.

The importance of this information is really two fold. As clearly illustrated in the charts, not only can you eat healthier by consuming natural, organically grown vegetables and fruits, but you can eat less of it and still get more nutritional bang for the buck.

Real Pastured Eggs
Chickens actually love grass and bugs. When chickens have this available as part of their diet, the yolks become a deep orange color, not the pale yellow from a store bought egg. Here is a look into the nutritional information on pastured eggs vs factory produced eggs:
• 1/3 less cholesterol *
• 1/4 less saturated fat*
• 2/3 more vitamin A*
• 2 times more omega-3 fatty acids*
• 3 times more vitamin E*
• 7 times more beta carotene*
• 4 to 6 times more vitamin D*
